Every artwork on Gander is in the public domain, released under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0) licence by the museum that holds it — The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, or the Cleveland Museum of Art. Each artwork page credits its own source.

What you can do

• Use it for personal and commercial projects.
• Modify, print, and redistribute it — no permission or attribution needed.

The honest caveats

Public-domain status can vary by country. CC0 waives the holding museum’s rights, but you are responsible for any third-party rights (for example, trademarks or publicity rights) that might apply to a particular use. When in doubt, check your local law.
